| Medical Explorer Post 2025 |
North Star Critical Care sponsors a Medical Explorer's Post affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and the Buckeye Council.
The advisors and committee for the post are employees or managers of North Star Critical Care. The purpose of the Post is to provide career insight for youth of Columbiana County who may be considering a career in any of the Public Safety Field or Medical Fields. These may be a future career in E.M.S., Fire Fighting, Nursing, Physician or a related field.
Explorers are taught C.P.R. and First Aid, and are provided basic training in HIPPA and OSHA required subjects. Then, after satisfactorily completing these required trainings the Explorer is permitted to ride along with EMS crews.

Meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. at North Star, located at 16356 State Route 267, East Liverpool, Ohio. Membership is open to any teenager with the parent's consent bewteen the ages of 14 and 20.
The post is governed by the Explorers who elect officers who run the meetings, set up outside visits, activities and fund raising events.

In addition to regular meetings the Explorers receive hands on training from advisors from the EMS field and Special Topics Instructor's from a wide variety of related public safety fields and disciplines.
